SEA Coaching Conference – 15th & 16th January 2010

The SEA Coaching Conference will bring two world-renowned coaches to Inglistion Equestrian Centre, Bishopton. Cmdt John Ledingham and Richard Davison will describe their coaching philosophies and share their expertise in a series of practical sessions working with novice, developing and advanced horses and riders.
The conference will appeal to trainers, coaches and riders, as well as those that simply want to enjoy seeing how two legends deal with everyday training issues.
Provisional Schedule
Friday 15th January:
- Coaching principles- aims, styles and differences between coaching and instruction
- Coaching novice dressage and show jumping horses and riders
- How humans learn about the psychology of coaching
- Coaching the developing show jumper and dressage horse
Saturday 16th January:
- Fitting Scotland into The UK Coaching Framework
- Dressage coaching for jumpers
- Anatomy of riding, and what can the physiotherapist do?
- How can jump training benefit dressage riders and horses?
- Improving rider fitness
- Coaching advanced show jumping and dressage
Registration for the two days is £45 for SEA members (£60 for non-members), and includes coffee/tea. Single day registration is £30 for SEA members (£40 for non-members).
